Delete your account
How to delete your Memoratu account and its data, and what happens next. Last updated 13 October 2026.
How to ask
By email (works today)
Write to support@memoratu.com from the email address you signed up with, with the subject “Delete my account”. We need to write from that address so we know the request is yours. Please never include your password.
In the app
Profile → Delete account (in the next app update). Until that update reaches you, use the email request above.
If you have a subscription bought through Apple or Google, cancel it in your Apple or Google account first. Deleting your Memoratu account does not cancel a store subscription.
What happens next
- Asking starts a 24-hour window. During it you can still sign in, and you can cancel the deletion.
- When the window closes, the content of the account is deleted: your projects, lists, todos, images, Now cards, settings and activity. This includes todos your account had shared into other people’s accounts. People you invited are not deleted.
- Deleted todos, lists and projects are permanently erased 30 days after deletion.
- Our database backups are kept for 35 days and then removed. Nothing deleted is ever restored into your account.
Deleting your sign-in as well
After the account’s content is gone you can also have your own sign-in identity deleted. We email you a code that lasts 15 minutes, and your email address is then erased from our records. To stop the same address being used to start unlimited free accounts, we keep only a one-way fingerprint of it, from which the address cannot be recovered.
What we keep
Nothing about your content after the periods above. Our server logs hold no IP address and no content (see the Privacy policy). To delete only some of your data, such as a single project, delete it inside the app.
Want a copy first?
Before you delete, you can ask for a copy of your data as one file: write to support@memoratu.com from your sign-up address.
